I find that turning on a car in the garage and sitting in it makes all the thoughts go away after a while.

As far as I know, no, there is no way to stop them. You could try destruction as therapy. There are quite a few legal ways to destroy stuff.

Therapy would probably be your best bet, even if you don't want to do it. You might be able to get rid of them temporarily on your own, but until you find out what's causing them and cure yourself, they'll keep coming back.

First step though, go hang out with a good friend. It will definitely put you in a better mood than sitting on the computer, delving in self pity will.

So does jumping in front of a car. Bonus points if you traumatize them.
