I have a cousin living in Japan and I havent been able to contact him for the last 48 hours. He lives near the area where the nuclear materials leaked. Im hoping the Google finder locates him. Im checking every one hour

As for nuclear energy, this doesn't really change much except for highlighting the vulnerabilities that reactors have when it comes to earthquakes.

I really want to go to Japan and do anything I can to help. It is equally terrifying that only a few modern buildings can withstand natural disasters. Not to mention that some people that can't reach them in time...

You could rescue people... if you were qualified. Japan can provide itself relatively reasonably, but if the donations go out I won't hesitate to give.
