Hmm.. First thing I think about when I heard the word is internet culture, thus I'll be bringing up internet memes.

Well, the first thing i think of is Internet speech.

I hate the work "lawl". I also dislike all emoticons and internet contractions in general. The point of contractions is to save time, but that really doesn't make sense in an internet setting when people won't be reading what you write for minutes, hours, or even days.

So you might as well take the time to write why you think something is funny, or express your sense of humor in a comprehensible manner.

But the concept of "memes" is actually pretty cool, even though they do tend to get overused.

Since the term "ism" relates to a doctrine, system or theory, the term "internetism/internettism" refers to erm, things pertaining to the internet.
